A high-risk pregnancy is any pregnancy the includes a higher chance of the baby developing health problems before, during or after delivery, or for the pregnant person.
A pregnant person over 35 or under 17 years of age are considered high-risk. There may be preexisting maternal medical conditions (cancer, diabetes, lupus, HIV, etc.) or an event that occurs during the pregnancy that can also lead to a pregnancy being high-risk.
Our TOPWA program is dedicated to providing needed support to women experiencing a high-risk pregnancy to reduce the chances of before, during, and post birth complications.
