The Housing Opportunity for Persons with HIV/AIDS (HOPWA) program addresses specific housing needs to low-income persons living with HIV/AIDS and their families in Lake, Orange, Osceola, and Seminole counties.

HOPWA is a “needs-based” program and clients must provide verifiable documentation of their inability to make their housing payment as it relates to their HIV disease and adhere to federal guidelines that require each recipient to contribute 30% of their household income to their monthly housing expense.

HOPWA services include assistance with: deposits, short and long term rental, mortgage, utilities, and housing case management.
